Good Bang For Your Buck

Product works as stated. I noticed a difference in air quality after less than a day of use. The air flow is excellent...many units have restricted flow, but this unit has two fans and is capable of cleaning the air with ease, with out all the noise some other units make on high (Compared to my last 2 Oreck's that were LOUD when put on high). Over all great product for the price. Love the replaceable UV lights...went on KAZ website and found them to be affordably priced...also like the permanent filters as this was a concern in other competitors models-no filters to replace means cheaper over long term ( Avg. Filter costs $40-90). Would recommend this product to others. REVIEWS..........

I like it, I recommend it.

Lots of air purifiers get a bum rap due to the noise. I like to sleep with this unit about 3 feet from me on the low setting. The thing about the noise is that it is a different pitch than a normal fan, but it is definately a large amount of white noise. I don't mind it.

The two things that I can say for sure. One is that it really does work. The dust in any room that you put this in will go down quickly.

The other thing that I can say is that I sleep better because of this machine. No doubt about it. I have much less congestion when I wake up and I am told I snore less.

Knowing what I know now, I would definately buy this product again with no hesitation.

This is excellent value for the money. The fan is noiser than on more expensive models, but no lounder than a regular fan. However, the plastic control broke after two days from being turned in the wrong direction by my toddler. I'd recommend a push button control for anyone with kids. REVIEWS..........

I leave it running all day!

I own the other Honeywell air pufier that looks similar to this unit but it is in white and LOVE it. So, when this upgrade came out, I decided to give it a go...esp because it had UV as well. I leave it running all day and night and it keeps the air feeling pure and clean. It is quiet and smooth. I am now considering buying a 3rd (an addition HFD135) for my family room. Highly recommended!

I own two of these air filters and I love them. These air filters do an excellent job of cleaning the air in relatively short order and I keep these air filters in the bedrooms for clean air sleeping. I recently moved into a older house that has dirty HVAC ducting and while I am slowly cleaning those ducts out I needed a temporary fix. Additionally, I own a dog that sheds a lot and I have a child with severe allergies. Additionally, I am also an allergy sufferer (mold and cats). After doing extensive research on air filters, I decided to go with this Honeywell 50100 HEPA filter. There are a couple of reasons for decision. 1) The overall cost of this filter is the lowest (unit + replacement filters) I found at the time. I bought the unit for around $80. The average HEPA filter replacement is around $20. 2) The second reason I bought this unit is that I like noise. This is not one of those whisper quiet HEPA filters and that is OK by me. I am a big fan of white noise (after all I have two kids that like to get up early and make noise). This unit on its lowest setting is fairly quiet. However, the medium setting is loud and the high setting sounds like a jet passing overhead. Most of the time I have the unit set on medium. This is loud enough to drown out the garbage man picking up trash at 4 am. I have been happy with Honeywell products in the past and this is no exception. I also own a larger Honeywell HEPA filter that uses the same filter type as these units so I buy them in bulk. These filters also use a prefilter that goes around the outside of the HEPA filter. Using this filter extends the life of the HEPA filter tremendously. I vacuum the prefilter every couple of months or so. I recommend this filter to anyone who appreciates a well made decently priced HEPA filtration unit and doesn't mind a bit of noise.
